Aparua- Learning Partnerships
Inquiry	As part of our concept of Aparua- Learning Partnerships our homework will look different for the rest of the term.  Each night learners are required to complete one of the tasks below.  The learners will need to answer the questions in their homework books.
Help cook dinner for the family. What did you cook?		Ask your parents about what school was like for them when they were your age. What did you learn?	Read to a family member. What book did you read?	Talk to one of your family members about what they did that day. What did you find out?
Find a recipe and ask a family member if they will cook it with you.  What recipe did you find?		Watch the news with a member of your family and discuss it. Did you agree or disagree with them?	Ask a family member to read to you.  What did you enjoy about having them read to you?	Ask one of your family members about what they do at work. What did you find out?
Help a family member prepare lunch for you. What did you find out about making your lunch?		Read about your favorite animal with a family member. What does this family member think of your animal?	Read a non-fiction book and tell a family member about what you have read? What did you tell them?	Talk to a family member about what their morning routine. How is it different from yours?
Help a family member prepare breakfast for the family one day. What did you prepare? How hard was it?		Ask a family member to play a game with you.  What game did you play?	Have a talk with one of your grandparents about what school was like for them when they were your age.  What did you learn?	With a family member investigate what school life was like in 1886.  How were learners treated back then?
Plan an outing with a family member.  Where will you go?		Draw a picture with a family member. What did you draw? What did you enjoy about it?	With a family member find on a map where your ancestors may have come from. What did you learn about?	Find a video that you and a family member could watch together. How did you feel when you were watching the video?
Ask a family member if you could visit the Museum with them. What did you learn or see? If you could not go, plan a trip to visit somewhere local, e.g. library.		Work with a family member in the garden. Did you learn about any plants?	Have a chat with a family member about your day. Did they ask you any questions?	Ask a family member about their favorite things.  Do you have any the same as your?

Visit the Kiwi Kids News website and record the title of 2 articles that you enjoyed reading from the National, World and Sports sections. You also need to record the title and main idea behind the Feature Article for this week. The Feature Article is uploaded every Wednesday morning.
